In a world ravaged by toxic fungi, a discarded maintenance robot stumbles upon a girl named Toriko, teetering on the edge of death. After nursing her back to health, the robot and his newfound companion, a decommissioned AI known as FactoryAI, learn that Toriko may very well be the last remaining human, highly vulnerable to the deadly conditions of the outside world. To ensure her survival, they create a refuge for her within a terrarium. Reinforcing the fragile environment and Toriko's poor health, the lone robot must venture into the wasteland to gather resources, battling the vagrant machines and mutated creatures that roam the land.

Along the way, the uncertain future of Toriko's existence, and with her, the entire human race, slowly comes to light.
